About the exhibition

The Bussy-Rabutin castle, listed as a historical monument, has benefited from a vast restoration plan from 2019 to 2023. The Sarcus wing, never before open to the public, was inaugurated on 4 April 2023, and now allows visitors to discover a new exhibition. The flats and service rooms, which had already been refurbished in the 19th century, have been completely restored. Thanks to descriptive inventories and painted or engraved representations of equivalent spaces, the CMN sought to recreate a space that was as authentic as possible. Thus, the decoration of the walls, the textiles, the furniture and the objects allow the rooms to come to life, in particular thanks to the lights and small objects. More information here
